Saint Luke Coloring Page

Saint Luke’s feast day is upon us, on October 18th.  While you might be thinking about pumpkins and pumpkin flavored everything, lets not forget Saint Luke.  He is often shown with an ox, since an ox is a symbol of sacrifice, and the gospel of Luke emphasizes and focuses on the sacrifice of Jesus on the cross.  Some art even shows the ox as winged, to show that we are to spread the gospel all over and to everyone.  I didn’t draw wings, although you could pretend like they’re just behind Saint Luke. 😉 Other symbols included are a book (he wrote the gospel of Luke as well as contributed toward the Acts of the Apostles) and the pen with which to write.

  1. As always, very lovely, Kristen! I’m so glad God has gifted you with such an amazing talent and you’re willing to share it with the rest of us! BTW…I like the new look of your website…either you’ve changed it or I ended up on a different page than is typical. Blessings, Kim
