About Me

I’m Kristen Rabideau, wife and a mother to 3 little ones.   I used to work full time as a Chemical Engineer, but when we were expecting our second child, we decided I’d try the stay-at-home vocation.  That was more than 3 years and another whole baby ago.

Now, I’m author and illustrator.  I spend most of time time caring for my 3 little kids, but when I’m not cooking, cleaning, teaching, etc… I enjoy drawing and painting (as well as sewing!).  That passion for drawing morphed into this website, Drawn2BCreative where I get to share my illustrations with you!

I have a passion for drawing, especially when it fills a need and makes children happy. I started this website because I believe children love coloring and should have the opportunity to color pictures that enrich their faith and lives.

Here at Drawn2BCreative, you’ll find coloring pages, activity pages and minibooks about the saints and our faith. I’ve found that my children sit still  to listen to books and stories and pray as a family when they have something to keep their hands busy.  Coloring pages can be a fun activity anytime, or especially during story time. And my Mini Rosary Books are an awesome tool to help children stay focused during family rosary time.

I started drawing cartoons as a kid in class, when I probably should’ve been paying attention and taking notes.  Even in college, I made class bearable by drawing silly cartoons of my professors:

And I never stopped doodling.  After quitting my day job to stay home with my kiddos, I toyed at this idea to make my hobby into my ‘job’. After some encouragement from my awesome husband and some close family, I went for it and here I am with Drawn2BCreative. I pray constantly to find the plans that God has for me, and for now, it seems like illustrating and creating printables is the right way to head.

Now, I continually meet the needs of Catholic Schoolhouse books , the Catholic Schoolhouse blog, and the occasional project for Catholic Icing.  I’ve created coloring pages and clip art for several other blogs and websites.  If you like my style are interested in something illustrated for your own website/business/coloring page for 3 year old etc, then please email me at drawn2bcreative@gmail.com.  I’d love to work with you!

My husband also has his own website, www.leftlanebrain.com.  He is an avid car enthusiast, and shares his knowledge about maintaining and troubleshooting automotives on his site and in his newly published book, Troubleshooting with your Senses.

If you have questions or need to talk to me, I can be reached at drawn2bcreative{at}gmail{dot}com.

Are you still here?

What else do you want to  know about me?

I hate celery (well when it’s raw- its ok in soups and chicken pie) but I love coffee. I really enjoy camping and hiking with my family, and pretty much anyone else I can rope into going camping with us.  My kids and my husband leave their socks all over my house and I’ve pretty much given up on trying to contain them (the socks that is).  I like cooking, but mostly I love eating! I came to the catholic faith 7 years ago and I really enjoy learning more about Our Father and the catholic faith everyday.  Also I love coffee… wait did I say that already?

    Hi Kristen,
I am so glad I found you! It was in a search for all things St. Rose Duchesne. I found your mini book about her, but I can’t seem to find it on this new site. Is it still available?

    You have beautiful work!

    Thank you!
    Angela
PS – I’m sorry for putting this here…I just couldn’t find another way to contact you. 🙂

      Hi Angela!
I somehow missed putting the Rose Duchesne Minibook up here after moving! I’ve added it though and you can find it under “minibooks” on the Free Printables page.

Thank you for your sweet comments- you’ve made my day!

I also love coffee and became Catholic about the same time as you! Now I am the Faith Formation Coordinator at St. Bernard’s. I am interested in ordering your 3-D Jesse Tree ornaments but it seems your site will only allow me to order using PayPal! I also saw no other way to contact you so now EVERYONE knows how I feel about coffee:)

    Wishing you a peaceful day!

      Hi Judith!
What an awesome journey to convert to the Catholic faith and now you’re the faith formation coordinator!
You should also have the option to pay with a credit card. When you go to check out, and it takes you to a paypal log in screen, right below that log-in is the option to pay with a credit card. I hope this helps!
      Thanks and God Bless,
      Kristen
