Corporal Works of Mercy Coloring Pages- Feed the Hungry

In this year of Mercy, especially during Lent this year, we are focusing on helping others.  I’ll be posting some coloring and activity sheets on the Corporal and Spiritual Works of Mercy. Enjoy!

The first is Feed the Hungry.  It’s probably the easiest one I can show my little kids.  We made these blessing bags as our Christmas gift to Jesus, and now whenever we see anyone with a sign on the side of the road, we automatically have something prepared to give them.  It’s a super easy (and somewhat safe) way to show “Feeding the Hungry” to my 5 year old.  Plus she knows what yummy things are inside, because she helped pack the bags.

One day I would love to volunteer with my kids at a soup kitchen or homeless shelter.  But that sort of volunteer work is not exactly suited to a 5 year old, 2 year old and tired pregnant lady, so I’m content on keeping it as my future goal when I have big able-bodied children.  For now, we give whenever there is a collection at church, and whenever we see someone who could use a blessing bag.  No matter how big or little your gift is, it will surely bless those in need and set a wonderful example for your kiddos.

Thanks and come back soon for the next coloring page of Corporal works of Mercy!
