Printable Castle (for your peg dolls, or anyone who wants a paper castle to live in)

So along with the Paper Cottage I designed, I made a paper castle.  I love these cool Wooden Castles you can get from Michaels and Hobby Lobby, but wow they are expensive, and take up a lot of space.  Lately I’ve been trying to reduce the toys-that-take-up-space in my house (you know the ones).  And of course, I love paper things because when I get into my crazed cleaning/decluttering mood I have no qualms about throwing paper things away.

You can print it in back and white to color in each block in your own medieval stone colors or make it rainbow colored, whatever.  Or, you can print the digitally colored in one.  You will need 3 of the blank walls, 1 wall with the door and 4 turret pages (so a total of 8 cardstock pages).

First print and color if needed.

Then roll your turrets into tubes overlapping that white section at the edge, and secure with tape. Cut slits on those black lines.

Now tape your walls end to end to form a big square from above.

Slide those turrets over the four corners, the walls side into those slits you made.

Ta-da! a Fun paper castle, big enough for peg-doll parties.

Now, Lent is coming up and I have plans to make some year of Mercy coloring pages (think Corporal works and Spiritual works of Mercy) as well as activity pages.  But also keep in mind that I’m pregnant, and my first trimester is pretty much exactly like Mama knows Honey Child’s.  So if I don’t post in a long time, it’s because my house is a mess, my kids haven’t done school, and I’m lying in a fetal position somewhere in my house feeling sorry for myself.

Thank you so much for being here, and I hope to have some fun new Lenten printables soon!  In the meantime, may the Lord have mercy on me and this blueberry-sized baby growing inside me.
